Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: July 2026

By using ToolFaultFinder ("the site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

1. Liability disclaimer — read this one

All content on this site is provided for general information only. It is not professional advice, and following it is entirely at your own risk.

The faults documented here involve mains electricity, stored charge, rotating cutters, and machinery capable of causing serious injury or death. By acting on anything you read here, you accept full responsibility for the consequences, including but not limited to: personal injury, death, electric shock, fire, damage to tools or property, voided warranties, and repairs that make things worse.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolFaultFinder and its operator disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from use of, or reliance on, any content on this site — whether based on firsthand experience or compiled research, and whether or not the content contains errors.

If you are not competent to work safely on mains-powered equipment, do not attempt these procedures. Use a qualified repair technician. In many jurisdictions, certain electrical work must legally be carried out by a qualified person — know the rules where you live.

2. No professional relationship

Nothing on this site creates any professional, advisory, or contractual relationship between you and the site's operator. We are not engineers, electricians, or the manufacturer of any tool documented here. As explained on How We Research, much of the content is compiled from third-party sources rather than firsthand repair experience.

3. Accuracy

We try hard to get things right and we label our sourcing honestly, but we make no warranty that any content is accurate, complete, or current. Tools vary between production batches, markets, and firmware versions; a diagnosis that is correct for one example of a model may be wrong for yours. Content may be changed or removed at any time without notice.

4. Warranties and safety devices

Opening a tool may void its manufacturer warranty. Never bypass, disable, or remove guards, interlocks, thermal protection, or any other safety device — nothing on this site should ever be read as suggesting otherwise.

5. Third-party links and sources

The site links to and cites external websites, manuals, forums, and videos. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. A citation is not an endorsement.

6. Intellectual property

The content of this site (text, structure, design) belongs to its operator unless otherwise stated. You're welcome to link to any page. Don't republish entries wholesale without permission. Trademarks and model names (Triton, Axminster, Bambu Lab, and others) belong to their respective owners; their use here is for identification only and implies no affiliation or endorsement.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
